I painted this when I was falling for someone. I truly believed that when we touched, we were becoming one. Together, the two of us formed this third, otherworldly entity. I saw my soul reflected beautifully in their eyes. This image came to me in a vision as I saw our hands touch and meld together; united by love energy. The person who inspired this painting pulled away soon after it was completed. Since then I’ve been plucking remnants of them from my soul. Fusing with someone so intimately can cause me to lose myself to that other that is created by such a pure union. I allowed my souls integrity to be corrupted, almost taken over by that energy. I truly lost myself for a moment, but The pieces have come back together and I feel whole once more. When this painting sold it was the last step which helped me feel completely free from the bond.
