My name is Mackenzie… I’m 24.
Creativity is the only thing I have to offer this world.
I am here to offer you my experiences, and maybe you are here to find some inspiration.
I am mostly self-taught, save for a few major influences.
My art style is personal, and when I create with others, I try to encourage their own personal style to emerge.
My goal is to help individuals find their inspiration and peace through creativity.
I specialize in acrylic painting, chaos journaling, and collaging (digital and analog).
I may not be able to make you a master, but I can help you discover how enjoyable and easy creating masterpieces is.
How it started…
As a child, I loved to paint. Mostly on myself… I loved the sensations- the smell, the feel, the way the colours looked as they melted together. I found it satisfying. To this day it satisfies me.
There have been periods in my life when I distanced myself from the artist within, but I always came back to creating when I needed something to do. As an adult, creating is the only thing I want to do. I still love the smell of paint, but instead of completely covering myself with it, I try to have a little more direction.
How it’s going…
Today I offer a wide variety of services; art tutorship, mural painting, commissioned pieces, originals for sale, and I even proofreading and editing if you are having trouble with your essays.
What I have, I have to share. As an art teacher I encourage the natural, child-like instinct to create without feeling limited by “skill level.”
I offer one on one art tutorship for people of all ages. My curriculum is based on daily practice and free from judgment or expectations. My rate is $60 for an hour-long session, or $100 for two hours. I will provide you with a journal for daily practice and you will have access to my art supplies during our sessions. Rates for a mural include a sliding materials fee plus $22 per square foot of coverage.
Commissioned paintings, collages, and digital art prices vary depending on size and duration of the project. There will be a flat fee to get started and possible additional fees after completion in order to assure your commissioned piece reaches you safely.
