Inspired by the feeling of (you guessed it) jealousy. This painting was created a long time after the original idea crossed my mind. It is a depiction of how it feels, for me, to experience the type of jealousy that sickens you to the point of uselessness. This is what I turn into when I lean into that emotion; a heartless, empty monster clutching its guts so hard everything inside bursts out, including things I didn’t want to lose. I reach out in hopes someone will help ease this suffering, but I will refuse every hand that is offered until it is the one hand I truly wanted, the one that caused this jealousy.
